Update: 2018-08-25 05:30 IST

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committeee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday has stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was creating confusion over holding early elections to Assembly.

“K Chandrashekar Rao and his family are enacting dramas every day on early polls. They are making new announcements every day, thus trying to create confusion. Their tactics will not work. Congress is ready to face elections even if held tomorrow,” said Uttam during a tele-conference with party’s booth presidents.

He said that the hollow structure of tall promises and fake assurances created by Telangana Rashtra Samithi government based on deception during the last four years has collapsed burying the fabricated image of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

The TPCC chief further ridiculed CM’s objection to the promises being made by the Congress party. “The Chief Minister  is asking how we plan to implement those promises? We will implement them the same way we implemented free power for farmers, crop loan waiver across the country and fee reimbursement to students.

We have a long history of successful implementation of promises which we had made to people,” he said. Uttam said that there were clear indications that Assembly might be dissolved next month and early polls might be held by December end or January first week. Congress workers should be ready to face elections and make preparations to win them.

The TPCC Chief asked Congress workers to take up special awareness campaigns among women to explain how they were neglected by the TRS government. He said KCR insulted all women by not inducting a single woman Minister in his cabinet. Nearly 70 lakh women associated with SHGs were suppressed and Abhaya Hastham pension was discontinued.

He announced that all Congress party workers would be given due recognition. Uttam Kumar Rddy said Congress president Rahul Gandhi would hold a meeting with all booth presidents of Telangana during his next visit in September. Of nearly 31,500 polling booth presidents, Uttam held tele-conference with nearly 20,000 on Friday.

Uttam Kumar Reddy informed that tele-conference with nearly 20,000 people was first of its kind in the world. “Our target is to speak to one lakh people at a time and this would be achieved during elections,” the TPCC president said while informing that he would be hold a tele-conference with booth presidents at least once in a week.
