National Sports Day: Under-16 competitions today

Khammam: On the occasion of the National Sports Day many sports competitions in various categories will be organised on Wednesday here at Sardar Patel stadium in Khammam, informed District Sports and Youth Officer Parandama Reddy.

The National Sports Day will be celebrated on August 29 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, Parandam Reddy said in a press note issued here on Tuesday. 

He said that sports and games competitions will be conducted the students below 16 years of age in various categories. Competitions will conducted in volleyball and basketball for boys, athletics and gymnastics for boys and girls along with skating, swimming and lawn tennis.

The interested candidates must produce xerox copies of aadhar card, school certificate and two passport size photographs, he informed.
