Police arrest gamblers

Kodangal: The Kodangal police arrested 9 persons who were caught red handed while playing cards and resorting to gambling in Yerpanapa village of Kodangal mandal on Tuesday. 

Based on a tip-off, a special police party raided the places on the outskirts of Appayapally village and found a group of 9 people playing cards. The police seized 5 bikes and Rs 28,000 from their possession. 

“We have registered cases against those who were playing cards and resorting to gambling which is illegal. Also seized Rs. 28,000 and 5 bikes from them,” informed the Kodangal police.
