TS Govt neglected Samagara Shiksha Abhiyan employees
Khammam: Samagara Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) president SM Pasha on Tuesday demanded the government to provide job security and sanction equal pay for equal work to the employees working under SSA of the Education department along with regularising the contract and out-sourcing employees.
The representatives of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Joint Action Committee (SSA-JAC) took out a rally from the district education office (DEO) to the Collectorate and submitted a memorandum to the District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, SM Pasha alleged that the State government helped and supported all the employees working under various departments but neglected those who are working under Samagra Shiska Abhiyan of Education department.
Working on contract and out sourcing bases, the employees under SSA are facing a lot of hardships and receiving meagre salaries without any job security, he added.
After formation Telangana, the TRS government had launched a number of initiatives and welfare schemes. The employees of SSA played a key role in taking them to every section of people. Identifying the services of employees of SSA, the government must provide equal pay for equal work (at least Rs.24,000 per month) along with regularising the employees who are working on contract and out-sourcing bases, he demanded.
He also demanded the government to provide health cards and insurance to the employees of SSA along with allotting special reservations in all the job notifications issued by the government.
The representatives of the SSA Jangam Suman, Masood Khan, Saidulu, Anil Kumar, Pushpak Kumar, Veera Swamu, Babu, Ismail, Ravi Kumar, Shamshad Begum, Ashok, Harika and Hymavathi and others were present on the occasion.
