Telangana Govt hospital to add 100 beds: Collector RV Karnan

Khammam : District Collector RV Karnan directed officials of the Health department to take necessary steps for providing better and advanced medical services to the patients at the District Government Hospital.

The Collector visited the Government Hospital and Mother Child Health Care Centre and inspected various wards here in Khammam on Friday and enquired the Hospital Superintendent Dr. Madan Singh about the services that are provided to the patients.

After inspecting the hospital, the Collector ordered the Superintendent to take steps for providing extra 100 beds in the hospital along with establishing a separate ward with five beds beside the Blood Bank room for Thalasseamia and Sickle Cell Anaemia patients and repair the Opthalic ward with SGS funds.

The Collector suggested the officials to arrange lift in Mother and Child Health Care Centre for the convenience of the pregnant women along with establishing separate ward for delivery cases with 50 beds providing with all facilities.

The Collector ordered the hospital staff to keep the surroundings and hospital premises neat and clean with planting saplings of flower yielding plants by identifying empty places in the hospital for creating pleasant atmosphere for the patients who visit the hospital.

The Collector also ordered the officials and staff members of the hospital to maintain the timings perfectly and be available round the clock for providing medical services to the patients without creating any inconvenience to them. The District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Kondal Rao accompanied the District Collector R V Karnan.
