Telangana Govt will provide plots to journalists: Allam Naryana
Nalgonda: Press Academy chairman Allam Naryana informed that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar has assured to provide housing plots to all working journalists in the State.
On Friday, he participated in preparatory meeting on journalists training program held at a private hotel in Nalgonda. Addressing the journalists, he informed that on behalf of the Press Academy three proposals were put before the Chief Minister for sanction of housing plots to urban, village and desk journalists.
As many as 16,000 journalists are working in the rural areas in the State , he said. The Press Academy decided to conduct two-day training programme on Spetember 8-9 for the journalists working in erstwhile Nalgonda district to update their skills as per the changing trends and technology.
He advised the media persons to cross check the whatsApp messages and present the genuine news in the interest of people and protect the credibility of the fourth estate.
He informed that health cards were issued by the government for the welfare of journalists.In this programme, Journalist Union leaders Kranthi Kumar, Maruthi Sagar, Ismail and district staff reporters of print and electronic media were present.
