Tension at Secunderabad railway station as parking staff, RRB candidates clash

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Secunderabad Railway Station on Thursday after a fight broke out between the railway parking staff and candidates of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Thousands of candidates came to the city from the northern parts of the country to attend the RRB exam. After the completion of the exam, the candidates came back to the station to board their respective trains and were waiting in the parking area. 

When the parking staff asked the candidates to vacate the area, the candidates opposed following which a fight broke out.  According to sources, the parking staff allegedly attacked the students, following which the injured left the area and came after 20 minutes with a large gathering. The conflict soon turned ugly between both the parties and police had to intervene to control the situation. 

But, the angry students did not relent and continued attacking the parking staff. The army personnel who visited the station had to intervene and get the situation under control by making a compromise between both the parties. However, the angry students kept agitating even as the police took away the parking staff in rakshak. After hours of conflict, normalcy returned at the station.
