Uttar Pradesh officials laud Telangana graft-free public Distribution System process

Somajiguda: A team from Uttar Pradesh Civil Supplies Department along with Commissioner Alok Kumar paid a visit to Civil Supplies Bhavan Telangana to observe the functionalities of e-POS and Iris systems at Somajiguda on Thursday.  Alok observed that “Telangana civil supplies public distribution system is reliable in contrast to other states. The initiative of putting barriers to irregularities in ration distribution with usage of technology in public distribution is an inspiration.” 

UP Team toured across Command Control Centre and enquired about goods transportation, GPS tracking system, ePOS Machine, Iris functioning. The team also visited Civil Supplies godown at Azamabad.  Commissioner Alok praised the functioning of Command Control Centre, ePOS, Iris system. He quoted “Iris is very helpful to the beneficiaries whose finger prints worn out to get their commodities without any difficulty.” 

He also appreciated Commissioner, Akun Sabharwal of Telangana Civil Supplies Department for making it possible to complete 100 per cent of Aadhar-linking with ration card. While in Uttar Pradesh the link count is lingering at 37 per cent. Paddy Procurement, payment to farmers accounts directly without any interference of middlemen is excellent, he added. Civil supplies officers, Kripa Shankar Pandey, Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, Narinder Kumar were present during the tour to observe public distribution system in Telangana.
