Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will convene cabinet meeting on Sunday (September 2), the day the ruling TRS is organising a mammoth public meeting - ‘Pragati Nivedana Sabha’ to be addressed by him at Kongara Kalan on Hyderabad’s outskirts. Official sources said the cabinet meeting would be a brief affair at Pragati Bhavan at 1 PM before he leaves for the venue of the public meeting.

The Chief Minister will inform his cabinet colleagues the announcements related to the TRS and the government which he would be making at the public meeting. The cabinet will also discuss the new zonal system which came into force in the state and its benefits to the youth in getting employment in their zones.

Schedule for next Assembly session before dissolving the Assembly will also be finalised. Speculations are rife that KCR is likely to hold the Assembly session for two days - September 4 and 5 - and then announce the dissolution of the Telangana Assembly on September 6, 8 or 10.  The announcement of the names of TRS candidates in the party’s first list will also figure in the cabinet meeting, sources said.
