Chief Secretary reviews progress of govt schemes

Khammam: Complete the set target of planting of saplings under Telanganaku Haritha Haram programme within 15 days ordered Special Chief Secretary of the State Government, Ajay Misra here on Tuesday.

He along with other higher officials held a video conference from Hyderabad with Collectors to enquire about the implementation of Haritha Haram programme, arrangements to be made for VRO examination and the steps to be taken for implementation of second phase of Sheep Rearing Scheme (SRS).

The Collector expressed his satisfaction over the implementation of Haritha Haram programme in the erstwhile Khammam district, Ajay Misra expressed his happiness and suggested the Collector to take steps for establishing Forest Parks further.

He asked the Collector to make all necessary arrangements for the conduct of the VRO examinations in the districts which is going to be held on September 16. 

About 11 lakh candidates are going to appear in the examinations across the State. Identify the centres depending on the number of candidates who are going to write the examinations along with taking steps for arrangement of special RTC bus services for the convenience of the candidates so that they can reach  the examination centre on time, suggested Telangana State Public Service Commission secretary Vani Prasad.  

The Principle Secretary of the Animal Husbandry department, Sandeep Kumar Sultania ordered officials to speed up the grounding works for distribution of cattle under newly introduced Buffalo Distribution Scheme which was introduced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with completing the selection of beneficiaries by collecting their share amount of money in the form of DDs.

District Collector RV Karnan, District Joint Collector Ayesha Masrath Khanam, Forest Officer Dr. Sunil S Hiramath and the Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Marapaka Nagesh were present took part in the video conference.
