KCR making mockery of democracy: TDP
Hanamkonda: Telugu Desam Politburo member Revuri Prakash Reddy said that Pragathi Nivedana Sabha held on Sunday was utter flop. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said that the TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself had admitted that his much hyped Pragathi Nivedana Sabha was utter flop.
He was referring to KCR’s remarks that scores of people were stuck in traffic chaos. “It’s evident that KCR is making a mockery of democracy by mobilising people by luring them with liquor and money,” Reddy said. KCR’s 50-minute long speech lacks lustre as he failed to present his progress report with facts and stats, he added.
The TRS government, which earned crores of rupees through commissions, had spent lavishly to organise the meeting, but KCR’s expectations have gone topsy-turvy with the people not showing interest to attend the meeting, Reddy alleged.
What about the promises mentioned in TRS manifesto, he questioned KCR demanding him to reveal the fact file. There are number of vehicles used to transport people to the meeting. In fact, number of vehicles is more than the people attended, he said.
He said that with the government using maximum number of TSRTC buses to transport the people to Kongara Kalan meeting, commuters have to face problems for about two days.
State general secretary Bandi Pullaiah, state organising secretary Gattu Prasad Babu, state secretary Pulluri Ashok, TNSF state coordinator Jatoth Santhosh Naik, senior leaders Gurram Balaraju, Sheikh Baba Khader Ali, Hanmakonda Sambaiah, Md Raheem, Margam Sarangam, Gollapally Eeswarachary, Angoth Kishan Naik, B Prabhakar, Didugu Subba Rao, Bhukya Rajesh Naik, Duddu Sandeep, Kagithala Jayashanker, Potharaju Anil, Banoth Veeranna and B Mohanbabu were among others present.
