School tries to occupy mosque property

Tolichowki: The management of a school which was vacated is trying hard to find a new shade for the students. Neo Holy Fathima school at Brindavan Colony in Tolichowki was vacated in July after the High Court verdict. The building was under litigation as rent was not being paid to the building owner. Now the school administrator is trying to find a new rental place under mosque.

On August 20, a complaint was filed to the commissioner of police by Younus Ahmed. general secretary of Masjid-e-Imam-e-Hussain located at Veerat Nagar, Hakeempet Kunta. Younus alleged that “Syed Zaheer Uddin, along with Neo Holy Fathima school administrator, Farooq Ahmed wanted to occupy the mosque property to continue the school.” It is to be noted that the mosque is registered under the provisions of registration of Societies Act holding registration number 61 of 2011. 

“Several verbal threats were given to us due to inhibition of members that a school in mosque property will be a nuisance to the devotees and peace in mosque,” said Younus. Henceforth, any kind of construction work in the mosque will not be tolerated by the members of the society, he added.
