BC leaders demand regularisation of contract staff
LB Nagar: National Backward Classes Welfare Association president R Krishnaiah on Wednesday demanded regularisation of 2,50,000 contract/outsourcing/daily wage employees in various government departments, corporations and universities. Addressing a meeting of employees presided by Association vice president Gujja Krishna at BC Bhavan, he alleged that TRS Party in its election manifesto promised to regularise all temporary employees within one month after it comes to power.
The employees with a hope campaigned in the elections for the victory of the TRS party, but after winning the polls, the ruling party failed to do so, Krishnaiah alleged. He blamed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for pointing his finger towards legal hurdles by saying the government is ready to regularise the temporary employees. Krishnaiah said that like in Tamil Nadu, by passing a legislature it is possible to regularise them. Leaders K Narasimha Goud, Singam Lakshminarayana, Ananthaiah, A Jaipal Mudiraj, G Devendra, Mallesh, K Mysaiah, A Lakshmaiah were present.
