City martial arts trainer wins bronze at International event

Hyderabad: City-based martial arts trainer, Syed Kaleem who won bronze medal in 12th CK Classic International Open Taekwondo Championship held between August 24 and 26 in Selangor in Malaysia returned back to home with hero’s welcome. In this Championship, the 27-year-old won Bronze medal in the 80-kg category. In this open Taekwondo Championship 22 countries took part. Last year Kaleem won silver medal in one of the national championships in 70-kg category which was held in Delhi.

Syed Kaleem is the resident of Subhanpura, Nampally and belongs to a middle class family and was pursuing graduation from Shadan Degree College and later he discontinued his studies and started focusing on martial arts. He is practicing Taekwondo for the last 10 years and during this period he won a total of eight medals. Amongst these, 2 medals in international level, 3 medals in national level, 2 medals in state level and 2 medals in All India open championship. P Madhukar Swamy, Inspector, Habeeb Nagar congratulated him for winning medal at the International championship.
