HMDA to go paperless by October 2

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority chief B Janardhan Reddy has directed all departments in the metropolitan body to go paperless (e-office) by October 2. He directed the IT department authorities to take required steps like upgrading software and hardware to implement the decision.

Janardhan Reddy took up a surprise inspection of all sections working in the main office at Tarnaka on Wednesday. He spoke with employees and sought various details including time taken for clearance of files. He directed the planning department staff to carefully safeguard records pertaining to public services and also digitise them whenever required. Janardhan Reddy wanted employees to utilise latest technologies and expedite works and file clearances to serve citizens better.
