Telangana State Urdu Academy gets its first chairman
Nampally: Moulana Mohammed Raheemuddin Ansari on Wednesday assumed charge as the first Chairman of Telangana State Urdu Academy at his office in Haj House building, Nampally. The Academy gets its chairman almost after a decade, as Raheemuddin himself served in this position in the Unified AP till 2009.
Mohammed Saleem MLC, Chairman TS Wakf Board, Mohammed Masiullah Khan chairman TS Haj Committee, Mohammed Akber Hussain Chairman TS Minorities Finance Corporation, MA Waheed member TS Wakf Board and others congratulated him on his new assignment. Prof S A Shukoor Director Urdu Academy welcomed and gave a report on the functioning of the Urdu Academy. Ansari expressed firm determination to struggle for solving problems of Urdu language in the State.
It may be recalled here that Ansari had earlier served as the President of the AP Urdu Academy from 2006 to 2009. He thanked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi for his nomination. A large number of Urdu writers, poets, intellectuals and representatives of various organizations were present on this occasion. The panel of Urdu Academy will comprise Minority Secretary, Finance Secretary, Minority welfare and Director of Urdu Academy respectively.
