Telangana State Wakf Board makes key decisions
Hyderabad: Telangana State Wakf Board meeting which was attended by panel members represented by public representatives, religious leaders, bureaucrats and other important members concluded deciding on many key points regarding various issues discussed. It was attended by Member of Parliament Hyderabad and President AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi, apart from its Chairman Md Saleem and other panel members.
The panel decided to fund 100 students from Telangana to study in University of Bhubaneswar. Further, the members resolved to come up with two Haj Houses which would be constructed in Sangareddy and Mahbubnagar respectively. Chairman Waqf Board Md Saleem who spoke to media post meeting assured tough action against each and every individual or company who have illegally registered Waqf properties in their name. He cautioned that serious action would be initiated against those who are involved in encroachment of waqf property.
Further, he said that not a single rupee from waqf funds should be utitilized other than the welfare and intended work. He said that a team of Wakf officials will be visiting Mahbubnagar to survey waqf properties and to study feasibility of taking up works there for new Haj House.
“11 new committees of Wakf properties were made and 3 new caretakers were appointed during the meeting. The 24 Waqf properties which were encroached and registered illegally were cancelled. We shall be examining over the allegations of individuals working for the Board who have crossed the retirement age and shall be initiate action,” he said.
