Telangana–Employees JAC demand action against Government Junior College principal

Hyderabad: Leaders of Telangana Employees’ Joint Action Committee for Justice on Wednesday greeted deputy chief minister and education minister Kadiam Srihari after attending the Teacher’s Day function in Ravindra Bharati. The Deputy CM congratulated the leaders for attending the celebrations. The committee office-bearers led by convener Mohd Ismail, also called on Commissioner of Intermediate Education Dr A Ashok to convey Teachers’ greetings and to press the demand for taking action against Principal KS Rama Rao of Government Junior College, Naya Bazaar, Khammam.

The leaders pointed out to CIE that Rao was involved in ‘threatening’ and ‘abusing’ a junior lecturer, for which he was issued a charge sheet. They accused the principal of ‘disrupting’ the Intermediate valuation camp in Khammam in 2009, while pressing for departmental action against him at the earliest. Among those who called on Srihari and Dr Ashok were V Praveen Kumar (working convener), Chitram Yadgiri (co-convener) and P Srinivas and A Venkateshwarlu (members).
