Creativity to be fore at photography festival

Jubilee Hills: Indian Photography Festival (IPF) - 2018 invited over 550 photographers from all over the world to share captured moments along space and time, at State Art Gallery, Jubilee Hills on Thursday. The exhibition showcased a wide variety of photographs from India and different parts of the world. 

International photography festival, IPF starting on September 6, is a month-long festival with series of events including talks and discussions, portfolio reviews, book launches, photo screenings and workshops. IT Secretary, Jayesh Ranjan presided the programme which had participation of renowned global photographers like Mark Edward and Nick Ut who is known for capturing Vietnam war in frames.  Jayesh said “The event is a great initiative, will enhance and cultivate new skills in Hyderbadi Photographers.” 

“We have been conducting this festival for the past four years, we started small, but now we have over 500 photographers coming from 50 countries,” said festival director Aquin Mathews. Best portrait awards were conducted on the first day of event and first prize was given to Saurav Narang of Delhi, Aman Sharma of Hyderabad received second price.
