HMWSSB chief wants Outer Ring Road works expedited

Hyderabad: Managing Director of HMWSSB M Dana Kishore on Thursday directed the officials of the board and organisations involved to expedite the work of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) project so as to open it for public use in November.

At a review meeting on the HUDCO and ORR projects, he said the junctions and gaps in the Rs 1,990 crore HUDCO project should be completed by the first week of October. The pits dug UP for new tap connections should be immediately filled after the completion of the task. While directing expeditious completion of ORR works, Kishore wanted officials to effect suitable increase in the number of workers. He asked them to submit daily reports while stating that a third party would take up surveys on the pace of work. He said the work was delayed because of rain in the last month. 

Kishore called for taking precations at the work sites like installation of boards. Care should be taken to ensure that no inconvenience was caused to people. He warned of stringent action if there was any negligence in work. Kishore advised GMs to undertake ground-level tours. Among those present at the meeting were executive director M Satyanarayana, project directors M Yellaswamy, D Sridhar Babu, finance diector Vasudeva Naidu, operations II director P Ravi, technical director M B Praveen Kumar, P & A director l V Praveen Kumar, CGMs.
