Uttam alleges match-fixing between CEC, TRS
New Delhi/Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has accused of 'match fixing' between caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and the Election Commission for conducting early elections to the Telangana Assembly.
The TPCC president, speaking to the media along with party in-charge Khuntia here on Thursday, wanted to know how KCR could say with confidence that Assembly elections for Telangana would be held along with four other states. He pointed out that KCR, while addressing a press conference after meeting the Governor on Thursday, claimed that he had already spoken to the Chief Election Commissioner regarding early elections.
He said when there was suspense among all political parties with regard to the dissolution of Assembly, KCR's claim on his interaction with the EC raises strong suspicion of 'match fixing'.
