Meru Association conducts free lunch programme for poor

Laldarwaja: Meru Kalyanlaxmi Association, an organization formed to help poor meru caste families in marrying off their daughters, conducted free lunch programme for poor at their office located at Laldarwaja on the eve of last Shravana on Friday.  

The association president K Yaswant Kumar Meru, vice president A Mallikarjuna Rao and secretary K Venkatesh started the programme. Around 300 poor people dined at the programme. Association members K Meena, Dinesh Kumar, K Rajesh, Deepak, Sai Bhargav and others participated in the program. Speaking on the occasion, the association members requested the poor families of Meru caste to contact them for assistance in case of difficulties in marriage of their daughters.
