Sri Nagar: Ganesh Chaurthi marks the beginning of festivity and celebration. The ‘Indian Silk Expo’ that hosts over 100 master weavers from all over India, is being organized at Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam, Sri Nagar Colony, Hyderabad.
Over 1,50,000 variety of silk and cotton products are on display. In fact, the exhibition lends you ample opportunity to make a choice between Dhakai Jamdani, Baylu, Hand Painted, Kantha saree from West Bengal, Bihar Tassar silkBandhej, block and Sanganeri print from Rajasthan and bandhinis, Patola from Gujarat and khadi silk, tussar silk and other silk fabrics from Bihar.
Shoppers can also get Bhagalpuri silk sarees, Kalamkari, Zardozi, Panchampalli, Kanjiwaram, Banarasi Silk, Uppada, Kalamkari and Mangalkari dress materials. One can also find some of the most stunningly done needle work in Katha stitch from Kolkata and chikan embroidery kurtas from Lucknow. The event will conclude on September 12.
