Meeting on security measures for Ganesh, Moharrum fests held

Hyderabad: Additional Commissioner of Police and Traffic Anil Kumar on Sunday reviewed the bandobust arrangements for forthcoming Ganesh Chaturthi and Moharrum. All the officers above the rank of Inspectors of Traffic branch attended the meeting held at conference hall of Traffic 
complex.

Anil Kumar instructed the officers to involve themselves and perform the bandobust without causing any hurdles to the movement of Ganesh idols.  He ordered the officers to keep in touch with local police and collect the information in advance about the installation of idols and routes of immersion and act accordingly. Additional Traffic Commissioner said as there is every possibility of increasing of idols in the city, officers should personally visit the route and check whether there are any obstructions in the route for free passage of vehicles carrying idols. An officer as in-charge will look after the bandobust at the main and tributary routes.

Further the Traffic Additional CP reviewed every police station’s bandobust schemes and assigned specific duties to specific officers. He assured that there should not be any shortage of logistics and requirement of all police stations will be fulfilled. A special review meeting has been taken by the Additional CP about the traffic arrangements made at the venue of Khairatabad Bada Ganesh. He assured one Special Platoon of Reserved Force would be deployed at the venue to assist Traffic police for avoiding any inconvenience to the visitors. A review on bandobust arrangements will be held on day to day basis till the Ganesh Immersion ends.
