Congress, TDP hold rally to protest against rise in fuel prices
Vikarabad: As part of Bharat Bandh, Congress party organised a rally from R & B Guest house to MRP Petrol Bunk, here on Monday. The business establishments and education institutions were closed and extended their solidarity to the bandh. TDP, CPI and TJS parties staged protest against the hike in petrol prices. Activists of CPM burnt the effigy of Central government for the price hike.
Speaking on the occasion, the district executive member Gopal Swamy criticised that the Central government has been increasing the petrol prices for the sake of oil companies. He said even the crude oil prices in international market have not been increasing like domestic prices. He warned that the BJP government will have to pay price if petrol prices are not controlled. CPM district executive member Sasidhar Revanth Kumar, district committee members G Jagan, leaders Aravind, Madhu, Kanakachary and others were present.
