Warangal: Senior TRS leader and advocate Gudimalla Ravi Kumar has found fault with the Opposition leaders who are critical of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao opting for early polls.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Ravi Kumar said that it was a bold and aggressive move by KCR who wanted to send out a signal that he is confident of a victory, post elections.

“Early Assembly elections provide TRS chief a perfect platform to take up developmental works with much more vigour,” said Ravi Kumar, who is also the honorary president of Telangana Auto Drivers Union (TADU).

KCR’s decision also indicates that the TRS is never afraid of polls as it several times threw away posts for the cause of separate statehood, he said, and added that taking battle to opposition camp is not new for KCR. He said the TRS cadre is ready to face the elections as they have a lot to say about the achievements of the government in last four years.

Stating that TRS has sway over all 12 Assembly constituencies of the erstwhile district, Ravi Kumar said the cadre is confident of securing the results of 2014 elections.

There are 50,000 auto-rickshaw and 12,000 auto-trolley drivers in Warangal city who have utmost faith in the TRS government and they are rearing to work for the success of the party, he said, referring to the support the TRS has from grass-roots level.

In addition to this, there are 2,000 advocates in Warangal Bar Association who are ready to extend support to KCR, he said, referring to the lawyers’ role in the Telangana Movement.

“All this support is because of the faith in KCR that he would deliver social justice to all the communities in the region,” Ravi Kumar said. He said the people continue to support the TRS as they have faith in KCR who is taking the state forward on the path of development.
