Dalit bodies oppose Manchireddy Kishan Reddy’s candidature

Pedda Amberpet: Representatives of various Dalit associations on Wednesday condemned TRS party’s announcement on Manchireddy Kishan Reddy’s candidature for Ibrahimpatnam Assembly constituency. Addressing the media at Praja Sanghala Office, Ambedkar Association state president Paranda Swamy along with KVPS Rangareddy, district former president Erpula Narsimha questioned the pink party’s decision to allot ticket to Manchireddy who criticised Dalits and reservations. 

They made allegations against Manchireddy who worked as legislator for 10 years, including, not bringing water from Ibrahimpatnam Peddacheruvu; no single Dalit family got sanctioned three acres of land; 2BHK houses limited to mere foundation stones and none got sanctioned a single house; ex-gratia not yet paid to the SCs who lost their land under acquisition at Abdullahpur, Yanjal, Kuntlur and Koheda village and ex-gratia was not paid to the mining victims. 

They appealed to the Dalits not to vote Manchireddy in the forthcoming elections. Praja Sanghala convener A Mahesh, Vaddera Sangham leader P Ellaiah, TS Madiga Sub castes Front leader Sukka Ravi, SFI leaders Nagendra, Sammaiah, Ramadevi were present.
