Honour killing takes one more life in Nalgonda
Miryalguda ( Nalgonda): In an obvious case of honour killing, a newly married man was stabbed to death in front of his wife outside a hospital in Miryalaguda town of Nalgonda district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Perumalla Pranay, a resident of Miryalguda town. The deceased Pranay was a Dalit and his wife, Amrutha, belongs to an upper caste (Vysya). They had been classmates in their school days in Miryalguda and studied together during their graduation and BEd in Hyderabad. During this period both came close to each other.
Both Pranay and Amrutha fell in love and married six months ago in Hyderabad and reception was organized in Miryalguda. Amrutha was the only daughter of builder and realtor Madavarao and her residence is located at Miryalguda bypass road.
Both Pranay and Madava Rao’s kin had quarreled with each other on the issue of Amrutha and Pranay’s marriage. Later calm prevailed with the intervention of top police officials.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Pranay, along with his pregnant wife, Amurutha, went to Jyothi Hospital in the town for check up. An unknown person attacked Pranay with a country made sword indiscriminately while the couple was returning home located at Vinoba Nagar in the town . In this incident Pranay died on the spot. Shocked Amrutha along with women ran to hospital to save themselves.
On receiving the information, the kin of deceased Pranay staged a protest near the murder spot and accused Madavarao family members’ hand in the brutal murder. Police have collected primary evidences with the help of dog and clues team. Miryalguda police filed a case and took up investigation.
