TRS to release election manifesto in 15 days
It has been 10 days since the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao dissolved the assembly and now the caretaker CM is gearing up to take the next step of releasing election manisfesto.
It is learnt that TRS party is likely to release the manifesto in 15 days. After holding a meeting at Telangana Bhavan here on Saturday, the TRS manifesto committee has decided to prepare the manifesto which includes 20 topics based on 170 representations received from different sectors. This time KCR also included Seri Subhash Reddy into the 15-member committee.
According to TRS Secretary-General and Manifesto Committee chairman K Keshava Rao, the manifesto will be submitted to TRS supremo after holding another four meetings and the final draft will be presented to Election commission after making it public.
Addressing the media, Rao said that TRS government had fulfilled almost all the promises made through election manifesto of 2014. "We held discussions on the new topics which have to be included in the manifesto," he said adding that committee does not want to know about other parties manifesto.
Rao also exuded confidence saying the TRS party will win numerous seats compared to 2014 elections.
The meeting was presided by K Keshava Rao and was attended by members, including Ministers Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Etela Rajender, T Harish Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, G Jagadish Reddy, T Padma Rao Goud and Azmeera Chandulal. TRS Lok Sabha leader AP Jithender Reddy, MP G Nagesh, Government Chief Whip Koppula Eeshwar, Government Whip Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLC Fareeduddin, former minister P Ramulu, former MP Gundu Sudharani and Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Seri Subhash Reddy also took part in the meeting.
