TRS will prepare best manifesto:Keshava Rao
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) got down to business to prepare its election manifesto. According to K Keshava Rao, the chairman of the TRS manifesto committee, manifesto blueprint will be finalised in 15 days. Around 15 members assembled in Telangana Bhavan for the first manifesto meeting chaired by Keshava Rao. In a press meet held after conclusion of the meeting, Keshav Rao stated that 20 issues were discussed in the meeting. He said that they also discussed on new promises to be included this time. Rao however did not elaborate more details.
The manifesto committee also received 170-odd representations from different sections, urging the TRS to consider including them in poll manifesto. The committee deliberated on such recommendations also. Keshava Rao said that his panel would hold four more meetings before finalising the draft that would be submitted to party Chief K Chandrashekar Rao. After his approval, the TRS election manifesto would be placed before the public.
Keshava Rao assured that the TRS would try to prepare the best manifesto to satisfy all sections. The TRS is least bothered what all promises opposition parties are trying to include in their manifestos, he said. The TRS secretary-general said that TRS government fulfilled all promises made in 2014 election manifesto. He said the TRS would romp to victory by winning more seats than in 2014, which even many surveys also predicted.
When asked about BJP national president Amit Shah finding fault with early elections, the TRS senior leader reasoned that this decision shows how courageous the TRS party is to seek mandate in advance. He said that going to early polls was a constitutional right provided to the government.
