Hyderabad Liberation Day observed
Mahbubnagar: At many places across erstwhile Mahbubnagar district the Bharatiya Janata party, Bharatiya Vidyarthi Sena, Akhila Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad and their allied organisation took out rallies and tried to hoist national flags at Tahsildar offices in various mandals in the district on Monday in connection with “liberation day.’
The Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Sena (BVS) activists in Achampet mandal in Nagarkurnool district took out a rally and later went to the local Tahsildar office and tried to hoist the national flag as a mark of Hyderabad Liberation day from the clutches of Nizam’s Razakars. However, their attempt was foiled by the police. The police arrested all the BVS candidates and shifted them to Achampet police station.
On the other hand, in Devarkadra mandal the BJP party workers along with ABVP students took part in a rally and tried to disrupt the normal functioning of the Devarkadra Tahsildar office and had forced the authorities to hoist the national flag. However, the police intervened and dispersed the youth.
In Jadcherla, the ABVP leaders barged into the Tahsildar office and went to the terrace and later hoisted a flag post and hoisted the national flag and recited Vande Mataram and national anthem. In Wanaparthy, Congress leader Chinna Reddy hoisted the national flag at the Congress party office to mark the Hyderabad Liberation day, while in Kottakota mandal, Ravula Ravindranath Reddy was arrested for barging into the Tahsildar office.
