Traffic police book more than 2 lakh cases in 24 days
Hyderabad: Traffic police booked 2,18,650 cases on the traffic violators in the past 24 days. Traffic police has been conducting “special contact enforcement drive” in the city from August 23 to September 16 on the traffic violations.
Under this special initiative Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors with their teams belong to 25 traffic police stations in the city were participated and conducted enforcement during the non-peak hours of traffic.
Traffic violations like triple riding, wrong side drive, without helmet, cell phone driving, rules violation by auto drivers and irregular number plates, the traffic police booked the cases on the violators.
Earlier, as the police received inputs from the public directly and through social media on Twitter and Facebook, the traffic officials had decided to conduct the Special contact enforcement drive.
