New EVMs arrive at collectorate

Vikarabad: Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the upcoming elections arrived here at Collectorate. The EVMs transported from Bengaluru in a special container amid tight security on Monday. As many as 3,120 EVMs packed in 312 boxes have reached here under the supervision of Srinivas, Bhumaiah, tahasildars of Marpalli and Tharur. Collector Syed Umar Jaleel said that the EVMs will be kept in a special room with full security. Keeping the EVMs and safety measures are supervised by RDO Viswanadham, tahasildar Chinnappala Naidu, election cell tahasildar Sridhar.
