Jangaon: Former TPCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah said that the TRS government has failed to deliver its promises in the last four years. Taking part in several programmes in Maddur mandal on Monday, he said that though the government had promised to provide double bedroom houses to all the poor, it remained on paper.

“While the Congress implemented Indiramma Housing scheme successfully, the TRS not only made it defunct but also failed to fulfil its promise of double bedroom houses,” he said, recalling the tall claims of TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Telangana has become one of the most corrupt states in the country, Ponnala Laxmaiah alleged, stating that programmes such as Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya are mired in irregularities.

Referring to the TRS’ promise of three acres land to Dalits, he criticised the government for not implementing it. After the formation of Telangana, KCR not only forgotten Prof Jayashankar, the ideologue of separate State movement, but also failed to help the families of those, who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana, he alleged.
