BJP hijacking Armed Struggle Movement: CPI
Mahbubnagar: The Communist Party of India leaders in Mahbubnagar alleged that the Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) is dubbing the Armed Struggle Movement against then Nizam rule as the conflict between two communities (Hindus and Muslims) and trying to take political mileage for votes in Telangana.
Taking on the BJP leaders, Paramesh Goud, CPI district Secretary, said that the CPI and its allied organizations had launched the ‘Armed struggle against the atrocities of the Nizam and fought for the rights of the peasants, farmers and artisans who were all suppressed and were exploited by the Nizam government.
But now unfortunately, the communal BJP leaders are dubbing the armed struggle as Hindu-Muslim conflict and trying to fish in the troubled waters to gain political mileage. However, their nefarious designs to highjack the community party struggle will not be succeeded and we will fight to put the communal BJP at bay,” said Paramesh goud.
The CPI, as part of remembering the ‘Armed Struggle Movement’ of the communist, is conducting a week-long celebration and remembering all those who have fought against the Nizam and the Razakars for freedom. “Nizam used to suppress the artisans, peasants, farmers and each and every person and exploited them and made them his slaves.
This lead to the upspring of Communist party armed struggle and more than 4000 people lost their lives and sacralised everything for the sake of freedom and right to live with self respect,” recalled Paramesh.
He said, recently the BJP and its allied organizations like ABVP, BVS and others are shedding crocodile tears and staging protest to celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day. He said the BJP is not having any love for the people of Telangana expect it wants to rake up communal flare and gain mileage out of it for its self gain.
Later, the CPI district secretary flagged off a bus where the CPI activists and AISF leaders from the district left to Hyderabad for participating in the AISF Mahasabhalu.
