Anganwadi holds National Nutrition Mission, Poshan Abhiyan

Jagadgirigutta: National Nutrition Mission (NNM) and Poshak Abhiyan programmes were organised by Anganwadi at Saibaba Kalyana mandapam located at Mukdoom Nagar on Wednesday. President of TRS women’s division Jagadgirigutta participated in the program as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, she urged anganwadi workers to ensure that nutritious food is given to kids at anganwadi centers.  

She said that reducing infant deaths, preventing child marriages and providing nutritious food to pregnant and infants is need of the hour.  Later, she distributed nutritious food kept in the exhibition to pregnant women and kids.  Anganwadi authorities Sattamma, Sheelavathi, danamma, Deborah, Jyothi, Vanisri, Tirumala, Vasumathi, ward members Seethamma, Suvarna, women union leaders Latha, Aruna Reddy, Balalaxmi, anganwadi teachers and others participated in the programme.
