Cops directed to focus on curbing crimes in district
Vikarabad: Superintendent of Police T Annapurna reviewed the situation of crime in the district with police officers, here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that all officers should be attentive and curb crime as elections are approaching. She told them to list out the history sheeters and bind over them. She directed them to get the detail information about rowdy sheeters, trouble mongers, and about NBWs.
Apart from having information about the polling stations in their police station limits, arrange sufficient security and install cameras to contain anti-social activities in the surroundings, she instructed them. All the polling stations should be geo-tagged, the SP ordered. Annapurna told the officers to arrange peace committee meetings in their respective police stations and utilise the services of NSS, NCC if required.
She reviewed the status of various cases through online. Additional SP P Narsimhulu, Vikarabad DSP Sirisha, Tandur DSP Sriramachandrudu, Inspectors and SIs, legal advisor and other staff were also present.
