Disabled alleges threat from Minister
Khammam: Khammam division secretary of ‘Vikalangula Hakkula Jathiya Vedika’(VHJV) D Naga Raju on Thursday demanded the BJP government at the Centre to dismiss Union Minister Babul Supriyo for hurting the feeling of disabled people by threatening a handicapped person that he would break his legs and put him on crutches.
the VHJV activists took out staged protest against the Union Minister and burnt his effigy at Saritha Clinic in Khammam. Speaking on the occasion, D Naga Raju alleged that the Union Minister was invited to an event in Asanol in West Bengal for distributing wheelchairs and other equipments to people with disabilities.
The Minister lost his temper by seeing a man who was shifting in his chair and threatened him that he would break his legs and put him crutches. Babul Supriyo issued have given such statements on several occasions. Many disabled people across the nation were shocked and hurt by his statements.
He demanded the Central government to dismiss the Union Minister Babul Supriyo from union cabinet immediately. He said his organization will organize massive agitations with various people’s organisation if anyone hurts the feelings of disabled persons who are living in miserable conditions.
The representatives of the VHJV association Sirikonda Upendar, K Srinivas Rao, S Nageshwar Rao, M Lakshman, D Tulasi, A Srinu and D Subadra joined the protest.
