GHMC conducts voter awareness drive at Sultan-ul-Uloom
Hyderabad: GHMC in collaboration with Telangana State Election Commission conducted voter awareness programme in Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society. Zonal Commissioner Hari Chandana Dasari graced the occasion and Khan Lateef Mohd Khan, chairman, Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society, Dr Anupama Koneru, principal, Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy, Dr Vakil, GHMC and around 1,500 students, faculty members and heads of constituent institutes of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society – Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology, Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy, Amjad Ali Khan College of Business Administration, Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law and Ghulam Ahmed College of Education were present at the event.
Addressing the students, Chandana encouraged them to register themselves as voters. She emphasized on voters and their voting power. Also advised students to visit Election Commission website and enroll themselves online, alternatively she advised to download MY GHMC app and enroll through it. The zonal commissioner interacted with students and clarified their doubts on robustness of the voting machines. Explained to the students the importance of casting the votes and rights of the voter.
Zafar Javeed, honorary secretary, Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society welcomed the initiative of GHMC in educating the voters and appreciated Chandana for her consistent efforts and hard work for voter registrations. Major Shiv Kiran, consultant GHMC, explained to the students about the step by step registration process.
