84 swimmers deployed for immersion

Warangal-U: Urban district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the conduct of Ganesh idol Nimajjan (immersion) scheduled to take place at nine places on Saturday.  

As part of safety measures, the Fisheries Department has deployed 84 swimmers and eight staff members for Ganesh idol immersion. The swimmers will be provided with life jackets and thermocol sheets to stay afloat.

It may be mentioned here that administration has identified Chinna Waddepally cheruvu, Kota cheruvu, Bandam cheruvu, Padmakshi gundam, Ranga Samudram, Katta Mallanna cheruvu, Bestham cheruvu, Agarhala fort and Pedda cheruvu for the nimajjan festivity. The Fisheries Department deputed their staff to work in two shifts.
