One dies, two injured in seperate accidents

Parigi: One person was killed and two others were injured in two accidents at different areas in the town on Friday. First accident took place near Bhavani Hotel Junction, when a couple proceeding to their native village Pursampally on a two-wheeler. Due to the rain, their bike skidded in the mud on the road and fell under the tyre of a cement tanker. Aruna (23) died on the spot with severe head injuries and her husband escaped with minor injuries. He said that they married three months ago. The body was sent to government hospital for post-mortem.

Another accident took place on Bijapur-Hyderabad road when Padmmama, a native of Somangurthy village crossing the road, a lorry hit her. The speedy lorry ran over her legs. She was severely injured and her legs were fractured.   Local residents shifted her to hospital. Police seized two lorries.
