CPM urges people to vote for party candidate from Wyra
Khammam: Communist Party of India-Marxist leader Pothineni Sudharashan Rao here on Sunday called on people of Wyra constituency to give a bumper majority to the party candidate in the ensuring Assembly elections. He said the party had fought many a battle on behalf of the people in the constituency, he said. Pothineni Sudharshan Rao here on Sunday.
A meeting was held with the party leaders of the Wyra constituency under the leadership of Bhukya Veerabhadram here at Sundarayya Bhavan here. Speaking at the meeting, Sudharshan Rao alleged that the TRS party by using its political power was trying to throw out tribal people from their lands.
The Forest officials and the police even attacked the tribal farmers and registered false cases against them, he added. The CPI-M along with the tribal farmers of Karepalli, Enkoor, Konijerla and Julurupadu mandals waged a battled against injustice, he recalled.
Along with Girijana Sangham, the CPI-M party strived hard for in sanctioning of loans from the banks to Podu land farmers who had pattas as per the Forest Rights Act, he added. District Secretary of the CPI-M party Nunna Nageswar Rao speaking on the occasion alleged that the TRS government had not waived farm loans of about 3,500 farmers belonging The people of Wyra should teach a fitting lesson to the TRS party which betrayed them by making hollow promises, he said.
CPI-M party leaders K Venkateshwar Rao, B Rambabu, V Srinivas Rao, Merugu Sathyanarayana, T Krishna, T Nageshwar Rao, S Sudhakar, D Nageshwar Rao, K Narendra and Muthyala Sathyanarayana were present along with others.
