Rains damage roads in Maqtha

MS Maqtha: Torrential rains at the end of the monsoon have severely damaged roads here in Maqtha, Khairatabad. The roads constructed over a decade ago in Raj Nagar, Maruti Nagar and MS Maqtha are in a horrible condition. Several complaints were lodged by the residents and former corporator Shaik Shareef, but all went unheard by the authorities. 

The heavy rains on Wednesday filled the entire roads with drain water. Adding to it an electric wire was seen hanging from electric pole posing risk to the residents, Shareef added. Shareef said, “These roads were constructed many years ago and now the roads are totally in a bad state of condition. During monsoon all roads get filled with drain water. Stagnant water is seen throughout the year in Maqtha. All the complaints and requests fell on deaf ears.
