Hayathnagar: Telugu Desam Party Rangareddy district in charge Sama Ranga Reddy demanded protection of government lands from encroachment at Venkatadri Nagar on Thursday. He along with party leader Murali and colony residents visited the site.
Sama said that in 1992 the land was cleared for park and community hall and since then locals have been organising community functions including Ganesh festival at the land. But due to GHMC officials’ negligence, the plot worth Rs two crore has been encroached, he lamented. Sama said that both the officials and TRS party leaders should take responsibility of protecting the land.
