IT Dept summons Revanth Reddy for questioning on Oct 3
Hyderabad: Income Tax Department has reportedly summoned TPCC Working President A Revanth Reddy to attend for questioning on October 3 at its office.
The Income Tax officials conducted raids on Revanth Reddy’s house and continued the search operations from Thursday to the early hours of Saturday.
Sources said the IT officials seized some documents from Revanth Reddy’s residence and took the signatures of the Congress leader and his wife Geetha Reddy. The officials questioned Revanth Reddy about the financial status of the companies in which he is a director.
It is learnt that a team of Income Tax officials from Delhi will analyse all the documents with the help of forensic wing and verify whether the Congress leader is involved in any hawala and money laundering incidents. The bank transactions of Revanth Reddy and his family members are also under scrutiny. Cases will be filed against him if evidence of violations is found.
