Farmers demand dismissal of corrupt tahsildar

 Madgulapally (Nalgonda): Expressing anger over official apathy and corruption, farmers of several villages in the district blocked the highway for several hours on Monday.

The angry farmers of Sitya Thanda, Isukabavi Gudem, Gurrappa Gudem,Thopucherla and Abangapuram villages of Madgulapally mandal locked the tahsildar office and staged protest on Narketpally- Addanki highway over officials apathy with regard to correction of on cheques and passbooks issued under land correction and Rythu Bandhu schemes. 

The farmers staged dharna continued for three hours on high way which caused vehicles piled-up two to three kilometers. The protesting farmers demanded dismissal of Madgulapally tahsildar Radha on negligence charges.

The farmers alleged corruption charges on staff of tahsildar office and demanded dismissal orders against the erring staff. On assurance of Miryalguda RDO Jaganadha Rao, farmers withdrew the protest and traffic was cleared by the local police.
