Injured black buck rescued

Gadwal: A black buck hit by an unknown vehicle at Dharamavaram stage on the National highway 44 was injured in the early hours of Monday. Soon after learning about the incident, the police officials from Kodandapur police station limits of Jogulamaba Gadwal district reached the spot and rescued the black buck. 

After providing treatment by the veterinary doctors, the police handed over the injured black buck to the forest officials. “Soon after knowing about the incident of a black buck being hit by an unknown vehicle we immediately responded and provided first aid to the animal.

The black buck is an endangered species and is being protected under the law. After providing first aid we have handed over the black buck to the forest officials,” informed Ram Naik, Sub Inspector of police, Kodandapur police station. 

Gopal Reddy, Bheemesh and Srinivas were other police officials who rescued the black buck. The condition of the black buck is said to be stable and has been handed over to the forest department.
