Red Cross initiates Home Nursing
Warangal: The Warangal Chapter of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) on Tuesday started Home Nursing Training Centre. Inaugurating the facility here, IRCS chairman Dr P Vijaychander Reddy said interested persons can get training at this centre.
The trained staff will be employed to address the needs of old-aged people, suffering from chronic diseases and others who could not move from the bed, he said. The centre was inaugurated to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Those who are eligible, male/female to get training should submit their applications at the Red Cross Society office at Subedari, Hanamkonda from October 3 to 15, between 10 am and 5 pm.
During the training period which is likely to last 10 to 15 days, the IRSC will provide some stipend and boarding facilities to the candidates. After the training, they would also be provided employment wherever possible, he added. The eligibility criterion: Class V (not compulsory); Age limit: Between 18 years to 40 years.
Dr T Vijayalakshmi, member of Red Cross, would be available as the coordinator of Home Nursing. Those interested could also contact 98496 49093 , 0870-2456765.
Earlier, the members paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his birth anniversary at the Red Cross Society office at Subedari in Hanamkonda. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vijaychander Reddy praised the Mahatma as the champion of Independence. He exhorted the people to emulate him and lead a peaceful life.
