TSTDC keen on promoting medical tourism

Warangal: Here is good news for the tourists who descend on Warangal to have a glimpse of several historic and exotic locations with the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) has come up with a health spa that provides healthcare through Ayurvedic procedures. 

In a bid to promote medical and wellness tourism in the region, the TSTDC in association with the Haritha Hotels and Hitayu Ayurvedic and Physiotherapy Hospital has come up with the idea.  

The authorities, who identified the growing demand for medical tourism, opened a healthcare facility in the Haritha hotel on Wednesday. The healthcare spa is also open for the locals.

The healthcare centre offers authentic Ayurvedic medicines and Kerala Panchakarma procedures, Dr G Suresh Kumar, the chief physiotherapist of the facility, told The Hans India. Patients suffering from neurological disorders such as migraine, cervical spondylitis, back pain, sciatica, paralysis, spinal and several other diseases can avail Panchakarma, he said.  

TSTDC general manager K Nathan, Haritha Hotel manager G Ashok, Dr Haritha of Hitayu Hospitals and assistant tourism promotion officer Kusuma Surya Kiran were among others present.
