Harish, I grew up like brothers: KTR
Hyderabad: Caretaker MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao said that he and caretaker Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao grew up like brothers. Probably trying to diminish rumours of differences among them, K T Rama Rao said, “T Harish Rao and I are just like brothers. We have grown up like brothers since childhood and now as cabinet members we are vying for development in our segments and the State.”
Addressing the party leaders from Sircilla at his Begumpet residence here along with Harish Rao on Thursday, Rama Rao asserted that, “I and Harish grew up like brothers and there are no differences. We are treading on the path of development of our segments of Siddipet and Sircilla by taking cue from caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.” All the TRS leaders are of the opinion that K Chandrashekar Rao will be the Chief Minister for next 10 to 15 years in the State of Telangana. Rama Rao asked the party leaders to try to campaign to get more votes this time and ensure the victory of sitting and other candidates announced by the party leadership.
Acknowledging Rama Rao, Harish Rao said that he had been trying to develop Siddipet for the past decades. However, Rama Rao developed Sircilla segment in just four and half years. Propagate the programmes and schemes of development and welfare to the people and win their support in the ensuing elections, he said. Harish said that Sircilla was developed significantly during the TRS rule and Rama Rao took special care in this regard.
Sircilla which had been noted for suicides of weavers is now looming on the development trajectory and Rama Rao gets the credit for that, he added. The weavers of Sircilla are getting better income and they produced the famous Bathukamma sarees, Harish said. In future the weavers’ town will develop further with Kaleshwaram waters and
Textiles Park, he added.
